Evidence-Based Research Supporting Older Adults

Meals on Wheels Central Texas conducts research to better understand and address the challenges facing older adults in Central Texas, including social isolation and malnutrition. In partnership with leading institutions such as Dell Medical School at The University of Texas, Texas State University, and The University of Texas at San Antonio, we evaluate the impact of our programs and medically tailored meals to improve health outcomes, strengthen independence, and support aging in place.
