Intake Call
“Meals on Wheels staff will contact you to complete your intake and schedule your home visit.
Home Visit
A team member will visit your home to complete an assessment and confirm eligibility.
Start Receiving Meals
You will begin receiving meals within 3 days of a successful home visit.
Timing may vary based on service availability and assessment completion.
Who is Eligible?
To receive Home Delivered Meals, individuals must generally be:
- Primarily homebound
- Able to accept meal delivery Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
- Unable to easily prepare nutritious meals
- Without consistent daytime assistance from another person
- Living in the Greater Austin Area
Each applicant will be assessed by a Meals on Wheels Central Texas Onboarding Specialist to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
